Preschool Teacher- Mater Dei School
Job Title/Location: Preschool Teacher- Mater Dei School
Reports to: Principal
Start Date: Immediately
Primary Purpose: Mater Dei School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic preschool teacher to collaboratively work with preschool staff, the school community and administration. Mater Dei school participates in the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program for four- year-olds. Candidates must hold a PK-Teacher endorsement through the state of Iowa or be willing to work towards this requirement.
Iowa Early Learning Standards/Child Standards
Participating school districts in the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program for Four-Year Old Children will follow the Iowa Early Learning Standards. These standards identify the knowledge, skills, motivation, and attitudes needed by preschoolers that lead to success as students enter school and as adults. The developmental areas are as follows:
- Social and emotional development
- Physical well-being and motor development
- Approaches to learning
- Social studies
- Creative arts
- Communication, language, and literacy
- Mathematics

- Must have the proven ability to report to work on a regular punctual basis.
- Perform all other related work delegated or required by contract to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, Diocese and state.

Job Title: Accountant- Full Time

Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.
- Prepares and posts accounting entries and ensures proper GL coding of cash receipts.
- Maintains and reconciles subsidiary ledgers.
- Maintains the fixed asset ledger.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement adjustments related to financial activity.
- Supports the coordination and reconciliation of tuition related funding sources.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Ensures that financial record keeping is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Assists in the preparations of the annual audit.
- Reconciles contributions between Advancement and Accounting department computer software.
- Reconciles revenue generated from special events and activities.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for E-Rate and other grant programs.
- Creates/runs Enrollment and State reports as required or requested.
- Acts as a backup to Online Registration for enrollment.
- Acts as a backup to accounts payable functions.
- Creates and maintains accounting records for athletics, activities, and parent groups.
- Assists with the accounts payable, payroll, and administration assistant staff.
- Coordinates miscellaneous accounts receivable billings and payments.
- Assists in training when requested.
- Special projects on an as-needed basis.
- Reports and recommends financial actions to the Director of Finance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Strong MS Office (Excel, Word) and Google skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP & Management Reporter, Blackbaud Tuition Management & Raiser's Edge, and Infinite Campus preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years relevant experience.
- Previous audit preparation experience preferred.
- Experience in a computerized accounting environment.

Middle School English Language Arts-Mater Dei

Primary Purpose:
To form students academically, emotionally, and spiritually to best serve others.
Summary:
Mater Dei School is seeking an engaging and motivated educator to join our middle school team in the capacity of 6-8 ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Our middle school ELA teacher is responsible for helping students develop their writing through the use of correct English grammar and punctuation, as well as their speaking and listening skills. Our middle school students learn to research, create presentations and critique the contents of text and other media.
